Microsoft has hinted TheHotfix.net about Internet Explorer 8 Beta release later this year. No specific release date was given by Microsoft and very little is known about its upcoming enhancements and features. However, Microsoft reported month ago about its future releases will focus more on CSS, AJAX, microformats and RSS.
Furthermore, Microsoft announced its first release of Internet Explorer 8 Beta will be made available in conjunction with Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) which will be shipped by the year end. The specific release date of the Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) is also unknown.
Windows XP users will enjoy the continuing mainstream support for Internet Explorer 8 until April 2009. The release of the Internet Explorer 8 will be similar to Internet Explorer 7. A total of 2 versions will be released of which one will be built on security settings for Vista and the other will be built on the settings for Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) and Service Pack 3 (SP3).
