Microsoft Announces Cheaper Xbox

Microsoft hopes to release a cheaper bare-bones version of its new Xbox 360 gaming console in Japan on November 2 in an effort to raise its slow-moving sales. This will also help Microsoft retract the market share from competitor Nintendo and Sony who are launching their game consoles in the coming month November. The Xbox 360 Core System is already being sold in Europe and United States but the lack of sales in Japan has convinced Microsoft for this move.

The Xbox 360 will be sold for 29,800 yen (255 dollars), 25% percent less than the standard Xbox 360, and comes without the 20-gigabyte hard disk. Other accessories that come in standard Xbox 360 will also not be included.
