Sony Announces Mylo - New Wireless Gadget

Sony, the Japanese electronics firm announced that it will be releasing a new wireless broadband device enabling users to access the Internet, listen to music, and communicate through text messages and online voice service. Sony the myloThe mylo will be palm-sized and targeted largely at university students since it is compatible with wireless networks both at colleges and at home. Starting next month, the mylo will sell for US$350 in the United States. Users can use embedded software such as Skype, Google Talk and Yahoo! Messenger without any charges from cellular phone contracts and other service fees. The mylo comes with a 2.4 inch color display along with a slide-out thumb keyboard and two color choices - black or white. It also includes 1GB flash memory, and a Memory Stick slot. Sony may release it in Japan.
